Cut Cost Without Sacrificing Quality - Xerox WorkCentre XE60

By Ben Pate

If you are just starting out in your own business, or perhaps starting to take on more staff, some of your attention may well be turning to finding a new printer. Brand, spanking new machines are often expensive, for not a great deal more return. It is for situations such as this that the Xerox WorkCentre XE60 printer toner cartridge can come into its own.

Being fitted with a copier and scanner, this unit is capable of performing many of your daily functions at nothing more than the touch of a button. Though a few years old now, refurbished units still perform well, and there is ground breaking laser and digital technology built in that is still relevant today.

For students theXerox WorkCentre XE60 cartridge could make an excellent purchase. All those pages of class notes can be copied so nothing is lost before that big final. Those same students might also find their machine to be very popular with others in the same boat!

The flatbed scanner, which controls all copying and scanning needs, is as high a quality as you would reasonably expect from the Xerox powerhouse. The strong glass and hinged cover to the unit allows the user to copy anything from single sheet A4 sized paper to heavy text books.

The handling elements of the WorkCentre XE60 printer are good too, as it can handle most sizes of paper from A4 through to A6. Other media can be processed too, including transparencies, cards, labels and envelopes.

Output quality is more than adequate for office, home business or college work at a reasonable six hundred by six hundred dots per inch.

Output handling is good, with the handler being able to take a capacity of fifty sheets before a need to empty. With the single sheet bypass feeder a quick copy and run can be completed in a matter of seconds. Though copy maximum is set at a rather pedestrian six pages per minute, this is more than adequate for most purposes. First page printing is also a rather impressive thirteen seconds.

If documents need to be altered in size, the Xerox WorkCentre XE60 printer can handle this well. Presets are at 129%, 200% and 50%, 78% respectively.

Maximum output is set at eight thousand A4 sheets in any monthly cycle, while an average use for such sized machines is a healthy and achievable one thousand sheets.

With the supplied Xerox WorkCentre XE60 toner cartridge originally, capacity was set at three thousand sheets. However, this is likely to have been increased, if anything, over time as cartridges perform far better now.

The WorkCentre XE60 printer cartridge is small in size too, which helps in homes and small offices of course, and connections are via the traditional ports. - 31403
